The World Irish Dance Championships took place on 27 March to 4 April 2010 at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow. Dancers from all over the world qualified within their region in order to compete at this prestigious event. The competition was fierce and the nerves ran high for dancers, teachers and parents!
The Delaney Academy had dancers from Prague and Warsaw competing at this years World Championships and they did us proud.
A big CONGRATULATIONS goes to Lucas Matera from Delaney Academy Warsaw who placed 15th in the Senior Mens competition, the highest placing of any mainland Europe dancer in his age group.
Our Senior Ladies Ceili team also performed very well amongst tough competition.
