The All Scotland Championships was held in Glasgow on 6-9 October at the prestigious Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, venue of the 2010 World Championships. For the first time ever, the All Scotland Championships was a Secondary World Championships Qualifying event for dancers from the UK and Europe.
Always an enjoyable and well-organised event, this year was no exception with the calibre and number of dancers exceeding previous years. The Delaney Academy had a team of dancers from Prague and Warsaw competing, alongside our London dancers.
Congratulations to Katerina Nemravova (3rd place), Tereza Hartmanova (3rd place), Lucie Svobodova (4th place) and Marie Dernovskova (5th place) for their placings in the preliminary championships as well as 5th place for the Senior Girls Ceili Team.
And congratulations to Louis Cuddy (4th place) U10 Boys, Delaney Academy London and Maciek Skwarek (10th place) U20 Men, Delaney Academy Warsaw – both securing their qualifying spot for next year’s World Championships in Belfast!
